International Day of Women in Mining (IDWIM-Africa)
On June 15th annually, we celebrate the International Day of Women in Mining, honouring the invaluable contributions of women in the global mining industry.
This day serves to raise awareness about the unique challenges women face in mining and advocates for gender equality and inclusivity.
Our theme for this year's event, scheduled for June 14th at 3:00 PM West African Time is "I am Mining and I belong," emphasizing the importance of unity and empowerment within the mining community.

Le 15 juin de chaque année, nous célébrons la Journée internationale des femmes dans les mines, rendant hommage aux contributions inestimables des femmes dans l'industrie minière mondiale.
Cette journée vise à sensibiliser aux défis uniques auxquels les femmes sont confrontées dans le secteur minier et à plaider en faveur de l'égalité des sexes et de l'inclusion.
Notre thème pour l'événement de cette année, prévu pour le 14 juin à 15h00 heure d'Afrique de l'Ouest, heure de Londres, est "Je suis dans les mines et j'appartiens", soulignant l'importance de l'unité et de l'autonomisation au sein de la communauté minière.
