Dr. Olukemi Akinmusire

Strategic Leadership and Institutional Partnerships Advocate

Dr. Olukemi Akinmusire is a strategic thinker and institutional development practitioner whose work has focused on leadership, governance and multi-stakeholder systems for sustainable development. Through her role with the Corporate Institute for Strategic Research (CISR) and wider thought leadership engagements, she has contributed to dialogue on how institutions, research and partnerships can support transformative development outcomes.

At the Twelfth Africa Regional Forum on Sustainable Development (ARFSD-12), Dr. Akinmusire contributed a strategic intervention to the Africa Responsible Minerals & Gender Index (ARMGI) dialogue, emphasizing how continental deployment of accountability frameworks depends on shared ownership among African institutions, the United Nations system, academia, countries, women in mining platforms and civil society. Her intervention added important institutional perspective to ARMGI’s long-term positioning.

Dr. Akinmusire has also been supportive of Women in Mining Africa (WiM-Africa) and its emerging strategic platforms, lending intellectual support to the vision of ARMGI as a collaborative African-led accountability initiative. Her support reflects the partnership-centered approach needed to move the framework from dialogue toward practical uptake.
