Research and Gender Justice Advocate in Responsible Minerals Governance
Ms. Abbi Buxton is widely recognized for her work at the intersection of gender justice, extractives governance and responsible mineral development, bringing significant research and policy experience to international conversations on inclusion and accountability in the sector. Her work has consistently highlighted the need to center women, communities and equity within resource governance systems.
As a contributor to the Africa Responsible Minerals & Gender Index (ARMGI) dialogue at the Twelfth Africa Regional Forum on Sustainable Development (ARFSD-12), Ms. Buxton helped strengthen the conceptual grounding of ARMGI around accountability, evidence and gender-responsive governance.
