Advocate for Gender, Social Inclusion and Community-Centered Change

Ms. Celeste Louw brings strong experience in gender justice, social inclusion and community-centered advocacy, with a commitment to advancing equitable outcomes for women and vulnerable groups. Her work has contributed to broader efforts to connect social justice with governance reform and sustainable development.

At the Twelfth Africa Regional Forum on Sustainable Development (ARFSD-12), Ms. Louw contributed to the Africa Responsible Minerals & Gender Index (ARMGI) dialogue by helping foreground the social inclusion dimensions of responsible minerals governance, particularly around women’s rights, community protection and accountability.

Her support of Women in Mining Africa (WiM-Africa) has reflected shared commitment to transformative approaches that place people and communities at the center of extractives governance. Through ARMGI, her contribution supports the broader effort to shape inclusive accountability pathways across Africa.
